Use the form to report a result that looks wrong, suggest a calculator or ask a sizing question. For a calculation problem, include the stitch count, fabric count, border and units you entered.
Before you write
Why is the fabric size bigger than my pattern size?
The pattern size is the stitched area. The fabric size adds the border on every side: 2 inches by default, so 4 inches is added to each measurement. Change the border field to suit your project.
Why does the thread estimate differ from my kit?
Kits are packed for their own design and often include spare thread. The calculator uses an average of 0.5 inch of strand per stitch; the method is explained on the about page.
Is there an app?
No. The site works in a phone browser, and you can add it to your home screen from the browser menu.
