About CrossStitchCalc
CrossStitchCalc is a free collection of calculators and guides for cross stitch and counted embroidery. No sign-up, no ads cluttering the results, no paywalls. Just tools that work.
Why we built this
Before starting any cross stitch project, there are three questions every stitcher has to answer: how much fabric do I need, how much thread should I buy, and how long is this going to take? The answers involve straightforward maths, but looking up the formula every time, doing the division, converting units, and adding the border allowance adds up to several minutes of friction before every single project.
This site removes that friction. Enter your stitch count, pick your Aida count, and get the answer in real time. All five calculators work in both inches and centimetres, and the results are ready to copy in one click.
